Louie's
California Bistro
is a must when in Santa
Barbara and wanting some great food in a friendly yet elegant
atmosphere. Locally owned and operated by
Anne Rizzoli and Trey Brooks,
both of whom have worked at Louie's for many years prior to
becoming the "new" owners three years ago. Louie's has been open
for over twenty years now. It has maintained the very special
dining experience with the menu and food staying
consistent through the years and has been described as
"California comfort food served with an
elegant flair". Head Chef Tony
Manzanares is going on 20 years at Louie's. Along with a
professional and loyal staff, the food, presentation and service
seems effortless.The wine list is well thought-out and eclectic. It
features some great Santa Barbara County and Central Coast
wines, Included are Napa Valley cabernets as well
the hard-to-find wines....an array of wines that suit every dish we
offer.
Anne and Trey have both found that they love the restaurant
business and have learned every facet of food and wine service,
as well as the finer aspects of customer service, always
welcoming you to Louie's with a smile and welcome feel. Louie's
is that "hidden jewel" located in a
picturesque, amiable neighborhood, in Santa Barbara, tucked away
on the ground floor of the historic Upham Hotel, and walking
distance from hip State Street and the theater district that
calls it home...a fovorite among locals and tourists alike and
has become one of the true destination dining spots in Santa
